A spa hotel in the New Forest with incredible views
Set in the very heart of the New Forest National Park, Lime Wood is a gorgeous spa retreat designed to be relaxing and stimulating at the same time. Enjoy the surrounding nature by hiking or biking, take a cookery class at the on-site cookery school or simply detox in the decadent spa area.
The Herb House Spa is inspired by the forest surroundings and laid out across three levels, including a massive sauna, an indoor hydro pool with incredible views of the surrounding treetops, a Mud House, and a steaming outdoor hot pool. There are also eight spacious treatment rooms where you can enjoy a massage or specialist beauty treatment, plus two couple’s treatment rooms should you want to both enjoy a massage together. To top it all off, there’s a rooftop gym so you can work up a sweat on state of the art equipment and take a few laps around the special ozone treated indoor lap pool. Working your way around that spa circuit is bound to keep you busy all weekend – in the best possible way, of course!
There’s a wide range of rooms available at Lime Wood, from spacious suites to budget-friendly cosy crash pads. Our favourite room type is the Generous, which includes an inviting king size bed, a romantic free-standing bath, an opulent marble-clad bathroom, an open fire and a large balcony taking in the panoramic views of the forest. Generous indeed.

A family-friendly spa in the New Forest
Standing on a site that dates back to the Roman occupation of Britain, and once a royal hunting lodge of King Charles II, New Park Manor is a long-standing feature of the New Forest and a popular getaway for families.
The best part of the spa is that a family swim with the kids is welcomed, but they’ve also created an adults-only space on the terrace, so you can enjoy the best of both worlds. The 16-metre indoor pool takes in views of the surrounding forest as does the Canadian hot tub – a perfect spot to watch the sunset. The spa also includes a steam room, sauna and sanarium, which combines humidity with a slightly less intense heat of a sauna.
If you’re travelling with an infant then you can take full advantage of the video baby-monitors, so you can still enjoy time alone together while having peace of mind that your little one is safe and sound. There’s also a creche available for children over 3 months old, plus all the baby equipment you could ever need to make packing light, and a chef that can make pureed baby food from 7am to 9:30pm.
