Ibiza with kids: laid back spots perfect for family time

Activities are geared towards younger kids, with a playground and a kids’ club for ages 4- 6 and ages 7-12, although football, water basketball, yoga and nightly discos are provided too. For those of you who enjoy exploring on holiday, it is easy to get around the local area with San Antonio or Ibiza town only a bus ride away. There are also a few shops in nearby Cala Tarida.

The light and airy rooms have family rooms available with a separate bedroom and sea view apartments. Restaurants are well equipped for families with high chairs and a microwave to heat up baby food. The Insotel Baby Service provides pushchairs, bottle warmers and high chairs for the room (please note, prior booking is required and comes with an extra charge).

The Hard Rock Hotel may not be your first thought when thinking about accommodation for an Ibiza family holiday, but the kids’ club is brilliant with plenty of activities for all ages. There are three different kids’ clubs for babies, kids and teens, with something for everyone.

The Roxity Kids’ Club offers a stage, decorations and costumes so kids can put on their own unique shows whilst older tweens and teens can enjoy a gaming zone, cinema screen, pool and table tennis!

If you are with little ones, you will likely have much of the swimming pool area to yourself first thing in the morning – meaning you can make the most of swim time before the midday sun hits or nap time beckons.

The ME Ibiza is tucked away with the closest town Santa Eularia about a €30 taxi ride away. Although the chilled main pool is adults-only, parents can relax knowing that kids are away from any party action in their own secluded kids’ pool and kids’ club situated at the back of the hotel.

There is a small beach out front, and a short stroll will lead you to a larger beach on the left end side (next to Nikki beach), plus Sa Tenka on the right. Hotel staff have been known to provide balloons, sweets and toys to kids checking in too!

Did anyone say kids foam party? The Alua Miami offers plenty of fun for kids with not only a foam party but also a kids’ pool with a pirate ship and slides, kids’ club, mini disco … all at a hotel on a prime beach location. Evening entertainment often includes an exciting ‘birds of prey’ show and acrobats!

Rooms are effortlessly stylish with a modern, white, beach theme decor. The family-friendly facilities in the apartments include a kitchenette with a microwave, a two-ring hob, toaster, kettle and a good-sized fridge making self-catering a breeze. There are a couple of supermarkets located nearby plus more restaurants in the bay to widen your dining options.

For those of you that prefer a short transfer when travelling with kids, how does 10 minutes sound? You’ll be at the Grand Palladium Palace before you know it!

This hotel offers three pools and access to the beach. There is no opportunity for energetic kids to get bored with a basketball court, football pitch and tennis court. Rainy days in Ibiza are covered with lots of board games to use too, including dominoes, cards, chess, and Jenga – all saving you space in your case. Evening entertainment highlights include the current Diva night and The Lion King performances!

Rooms are well equipped with a minibar, which is restocked daily, and a kettle with tea and coffee – perfect for that morning cuppa. Whilst the bathrooms have a relaxing Jacuzzi bath & plenty of toiletries.
