Family rooms in London: the best hotel rooms for families in the capital

Finding your home base in the capital and having somewhere to relax with all the family after a day of sightseeing can make or break a trip, so travel blogger Rebecca is here to share her favourite hotels in London to make sure everyone's happy.

London is one of my favorite cities to visit with the family because it’s almost impossible to run out of things to do. We all get a little fed up of the repetitive cries of ‘I’m bored’ when out and about, but luckily no matter where you stay in the capital, you’ll find hundreds of family-friendly activities and unique places to discover right on your doorstep (phew). London is home to some of the world’s best museums, from The British Museum to The Natural History Museum. And for something to ignite the little ones’ imaginations, you have the London Dungeons and every kid and parents’ favourite, the Harry Potter Studios.

Whether you are looking for a slice of luxury, a budget-friendly room or something that’ll spark the imaginations of the little ones, here are seven of the best options for your family hotel room in London.

A family room in London with adorable mini bathrobes

The Rubens at the Palace not only sits across the road from Buckingham Palace, the home of the Queen. Kids love peering out the windows hoping to catch a glimpse of her majesty walking her corgis. Your little ones will also get a taste of their very own royal treatment, as if all their christmases have come at once. A very friendly and knowledgeable director of fun will ensure they feel like vips from the moment they arrive. With fun firmly in the hands of a professional, you are instead free to focus on the luxury flair the historic hotel has to offer. A plethora of bars and restaurants on site, including the fine dining available at The English Grill, makes meal times a treat rather than a chore.

Make sure you go for the family suite, which has a king size bed as well as a spacious seating area which can also be made up as a daybed for one little one and a sofa bed for another. These amazing family hotel rooms in London come with an added bonus. Provided are thoughtful extras for children, including colouring books, mini bathrobes (which are adorable) and games consoles. Babycare is also made easy with services on offer including pram hire and a qualified nanny service. Kids under 12 also stay and eat for free when staying with parents in a Triple Room.
